About This Role A Day in the Life of a Mechanical Engineer I: Providing creative solutions to mechanical engineering design challenges Working in an interdisciplinary role, collaborating with peer engineers of varying disciplines. Solid modeling via NX and Solidworks. Design capture and configuration management via PLM systems. Learning how to create professional engineering drawings for manufacturing per industry ASME standards. Producing designs that leverage common fabrication and assembly processes while working with internal machine shops to manufacture parts on site. Creating structural designs by leveraging theory and analysis tools. Analysis and design of tracked vehicle of varying weight classes. Engine and generator integration into hybrid electric platforms.
