The Associate Professor of Exercise Science is a 9-month, tenured, full-time faculty position. The successful candidate will complement or add to existing strengths within the Exercise Science Program and the College of Education and Health Professions. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate both synergy with existing teaching strengths and a commitment to promoting a culture of research excellence. Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the tenured Associate Professor of Exercise Science include pursuing their established research agenda, securing external funding, mentoring and assisting early-career faculty in pursuing external funding opportunities, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at professional conferences; teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Exercise Science; supervising theses, dissertations, and honors projects; mentoring/advising both undergraduate and graduate students; and providing service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. The faculty member is responsible for fulfilling the core academic functions of teaching, scholarship/research/ creative activity, and service in support of the University’s mission.
