This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Billing Manager based in the United States. This is a hands-on billing leadership role overseeing end-to-end operations in a high-volume, data-intensive environment. You will lead invoice generation, validation, reconciliation, and distribution while maintaining strong accuracy and financial controls. The role requires someone who can confidently manage large and complex data sets across multiple billing cycles. You will partner closely with Accounting, Sales, Customer Success, and Product to ensure contracts, pricing, usage, and revenue are accurately reflected. You will also help optimize billing systems, workflows, automations, and integrations to support scalable growth. The position combines operational ownership, analytical problem-solving, team mentorship, and continuous process improvement. It offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on billing accuracy, customer experience, financial operations, and organizational efficiency. Accountabilities Lead end-to-end billing operations, including invoice generation, validation, reconciliation, and distribution in a high-volume, low-dollar transaction environment. Manage, organize, and reconcile large data sets across multiple billing cycles while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strong controls. Develop, document, and continuously improve billing processes and workflows to increase efficiency, scalability, and error reduction. Identify billing discrepancies, anomalies, and data-integrity issues and coordinate timely resolution. Partner with Accounting to support accurate revenue recognition and month-end close activities. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure contracts, pricing, usage, and other relevant data are accurately reflected in billing. Own and optimize billing-system configurations, automations, and integrations across CRM, ERP, and billing platforms. Monitor and report on key billing performance indicators, including accuracy, cycle time, disputes, and DSO. Maintain compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Handle escalated customer billing questions and disputes, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Support billing-related system upgrades, user acceptance testing (UAT), and process documentation. Mentor and support team members while promoting consistent standards, accountability, and operational excellence. Requirements 5+ years of professional billing experience within telecom, telecom expense management (TEM), or a closely related industry. Demonstrated experience managing high-volume billing operations involving low-dollar-value transactions. Strong proficiency with billing and ERP systems such as NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce Billing, or comparable platforms. Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with large data sets, reconciliations, data validation, and complex billing analysis. Proven ability to process, organize, audit, and validate significant volumes of data quickly and accurately. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience with SQL or other data-querying tools is a plus. Familiarity with SaaS or subscription-based billing models is desirable. Experience working in a software or technology company environment is preferred. Knowledge of telecom carrier billing structures, invoicing formats, or usage-based billing is an advantage. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, organization, and strong customer focus. Benefits $115,000–$135,000  annual compensation range.
