This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Claims Total Loss Claims Representative based in the United States. This role focuses on evaluating and resolving complex physical damage total loss claims across a broad range of vehicles and equipment. You will manage claims from evaluation through negotiation and resolution while balancing accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The position involves regular communication with vehicle owners and lienholders to move claims forward and reach appropriate settlements. You will also oversee salvage-related activities, including owner-retained and theft-related salvage processes. Success requires sound judgment, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret insurance procedures and regulations. The role is based in a professional office environment with occasional travel for investigations, meetings, conferences, and training. It also provides opportunities to strengthen insurance expertise through ongoing training and professional development. Accountabilities Evaluate, negotiate, and resolve physical damage total loss claims involving automobiles, motor homes, agricultural equipment, commercial carriers, trailers, motorcycles, and other covered vehicles or equipment. Communicate effectively with vehicle owners, lienholders, and other involved parties to facilitate timely and appropriate claim resolution. Manage salvage disposal activities, including owner-retained salvage and theft-related salvage. Apply established procedures, regulations, and guidelines when assessing and resolving claims. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professionalism, integrity, fairness, responsiveness, and clear communication. Meet established expectations for productivity, compliance, claim cycle time, and customer service quality. Research, analyze, and interpret relevant insurance procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals, and other documentation. Continue developing technical and industry knowledge through required training and professional development activities. Perform additional responsibilities and special assignments as directed by management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or a combination of at least three years of college and relevant work experience in property and casualty insurance. Previous total loss claims experience is preferred, with experience in a comparable agricultural or insurance environment considered an advantage. A relevant professional insurance designation is desirable. Strong understanding of claims evaluation, negotiation, documentation, and resolution processes. Excellent telephone, interpersonal, public relations, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to work with practical problems and varying circumstances. Ability to interpret and apply written, oral, and schedule-based instructions. Basic computer proficiency with demonstrated aptitude using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and web-based systems. Strong attention to detail, organization, professionalism, and customer-service orientation. Ability to work effectively in a structured office environment while managing multiple claim-related priorities. Must maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged sitting, frequent reaching, occasional stooping, and occasional lifting or moving of items weighing up to 30 pounds.
