This position will serve as a Safety, Facility, and Operations Coordinator for a set of campuses. Coordinate submission and follow up for issues related to facilities for resolution. Collaborate with other District officials, as assigned, in the advancement of school safety, facility issues and operations. Manage departmental/divisional projects as directed, such as summer school site selection, on campus security checks, audit follow ups and on-campus training for safety, operations, and facilities. Interface with the Associate Superintendent, Executive Directors and campus administrators to resolve safety and facility concerns on and around the campuses providing follow through and resolution summaries. Develop safety and operations collateral to include quick guides, handbooks, etc. Provide regular updates and status reports regarding campus safety issues and resolution. Monitor implementation of appropriate required drills. During an emergency or crisis serve as on-site assistance as needed. Present or articulate compliance requirements to campus administrators. Follow up on safety monitoring requirements for correctional actions, facilities and operations issues for status and completion actions. Provide expert advice on procedures during an emergency situation to the Executive Director and Associate Superintendent regarding next steps. Responsible for ensuring campus safety operations are implemented effectively. Coordinate completion the campus facility concerns with maintenance operation and campus leadership. Create and monitor response time report to ensure timely completion of all submitted work orders. Work with police and security and campus leadership to design effective evacuation routes and effective safety protocols. Develop, coordinate and assist with implementation of campus safety programs to prevent safety threats. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required with a preference in Emergency Management Planning. 3-5 years of direct experience in law enforcement, education or in a related role required. Willingness to be part of a collaborative environment and work closely with colleagues and parents. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing. No felony convictions; must submit to electronic fingerprinting as a pre-requisite for employment drug screening, and polygraph. Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
