Analytica is seeking a hands-on  Technical Lead – Data Engineering  to support the design, development, and delivery of modern data and analytics solutions in a cloud-based environment. This role is best suited for a senior engineer who has grown into a leadership role and enjoys mentoring teams while remaining deeply involved in technical execution.  This role follows a hybrid schedule; candidates should be located in the DMV area to support in-person collaboration as needed. The Technical Lead will be contributor who can lead by example—guiding engineers, coordinating technical delivery, and helping teams solve complex engineering challenges. The focus for this role will be heavily centered around Databricks and modern data engineering practices within AWS environments.    Analytica has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as a fastest-growing private US small business.  We work with U.S. government customers in health, civilian, and national security missions.  Analytica offers competitive compensation with opportunities for bonuses, employer paid health care, training and development funds, and 401k match.     Key Responsibilities:   Lead day-to-day technical execution for engineering teams delivering data and analytics solutions  Serve as a senior hands-on engineer contributing to solution design, development, troubleshooting, and optimization  Guide and mentor engineers through technical leadership, collaboration, and code review  Support development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines, integrations, and processing frameworks within Databricks and AWS  Collaborate with architects and program leadership to implement technical solutions aligned with project objectives  Help break down requirements into actionable development tasks and support sprint execution  Partner with application engineers, QA/test teams, and business analysts to ensure successful delivery  Promote engineering best practices around performance, maintainability, testing, and operational support  Assist with production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts  Contribute to Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and technical estimation  Required Qualifications:  U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain any required clearance or suitability determination  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. Master’s degree in a plus.  8+ years of experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data processing solutions   Hands-on expertise with Databricks and modern data engineering frameworks   Experience working within AWS cloud environments   Strong proficiency in Python and/or Spark-based data processing   Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and Agile development practices   Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills   Ability to lead technical efforts while remaining hands-on in delivery   Certification in one or more  Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate and/or Databricks Certified Machine Learning Associate  AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional   Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments   Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders   Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools   About Analytica:  Analytica  is a leading consulting and information technology solutions provider to public sector organizations supporting health, civilian, and national security missions.
