Flexible Schedule – must be comfortable supporting 9 PM–12 AM deployments once or twice per week and occasional weekend releases. 105382-1 Job Title: Deployment Coordinator Location: Allentown, NY (REMOTE) Duration: 6 months Responsibilities • Leads weekly planned and emergency deployments for all PPL Customer Service applications • Orchestrates and coordinates pre-deployment activities, including securing required Cloud support, Database support, and other resources as needed • Maintains deployment schedules, checklists, implementation plans, readiness tracking materials, and a deployment registry that includes successful, failed, and postponed deployments • Conducts weekly business touchpoint meetings to review test plans, confirm post-deployment validation coverage, and align on readiness expectations • Facilitates deployment readiness meetings, go/no-go discussions, deployment communications, and post-deployment follow-ups on a defined cadence • Collaborates with Scrum Masters across the value stream to support smooth and successful releases for their teams • Removes barriers for technical leads before and during deployment and assists business partners with troubleshooting deployment-readiness issues, including access or permissions issues impacting QA test scripts • Coordinates validation activities and confirms that required smoke testing, business verification, and operational handoffs are complete • Works closely with teams to drive accountability and maintain records of Root Cause Analysis outcomes across teams • Maintains communication between vendors, contractors, and PPL IT to minimize QA environment overlaps and mitigate dependency risks that could delay releases for other applications • Identifies and escalates deployment blockers, schedule conflicts, environment readiness concerns, risks, issues, approvals, and open action items through completion Key Skills • Strong understanding of deployment, release, change, and implementation coordination practices • Ability to organize complex deployment activities across multiple teams, systems, environments, vendors, and contractors • Skilled at managing schedules, checklists, dependencies, risks, issues, approvals, action items, deployment records, and recurring communication cadences • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder updates, organizational deployment communications, and executive-ready status summaries • Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities • Familiar with production support, DevOps, change management, QA environments, application release environments, and post-deployment validation practices Agile/Digital Experience • Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and coordinating release activities across sprint, program increment, project, or value stream milestones • Understands relationships with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, technical leads, testing teams, operations, business stakeholders, vendors, and contractors • Experience managing release readiness, deployment tasks, implementation dependencies, test plan alignment, and validation activities within a backlog or release plan Individual Skills • Strong communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams and employees at all levels of the organization on deployment timing, readiness, risks, responsibilities, and required decisions • Collaborative coordinator who keeps teams organized, informed, accountable, and focused on successful implementation outcomes • Able to build effective working relationships across teams with different operating models, priorities, and team dynamics Mindset & Behaviors • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual who helps teams stay aligned and prepared • Comfortable working in an environment with a level of ambiguity and able to adapt as priorities, dependencies, or deployment conditions change • Flexible with schedule and prepared to support deployments from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. once or twice per week, with occasional weekend support for larger releases • Open to learning different aspects of the organization and how they work together to support a multi-year PPL systems expansion • Able to anticipate deployment risks and drive follow-through without needing direct authority • Embraces transparency, accountability, clear communication, a good attitude, and a team-first approach • Calm under pressure and focused on helping teams execute clean, well-coordinated deployments Thank You!
