As a Digital Planning Director, you will directly manage a team of Planning Managers and Planners. The role of Planning Director will be to lead the team by focusing on creating compelling proposals to drive revenue to the organization while ensuring all existing campaigns are properly managed.    Duties and Responsibilities  Directly manage a group of Planning Managers and Planners, assisting them with: Plan building, Rate approvals, and Campaign execution  Partner with Sports linear counterparts and Portfolio digital planning counterparts to manage the sponsorship process, including package creation, templated plans, and advising on pricing  Review and approve Sales Plans, Pricing & Packaging Mix Guidelines for Upfront and Scatter Markets  Liaise with Site members and Marketing to derive sponsorship price tags for all go to market opportunities on select properties.  Analyze areas within the Planning workflow that can be improved, create process enhancements that eliminate any bottlenecks or barriers to entry  Work with Ad Ops and Inventory to improve the delivery of Ad campaigns  Assess risk and come up with creative solutions to ensure that all Ad campaigns deliver in full  Collaborate with internal constituents to learn the aspects of our current Ad systems and share this information in a clear and concise manner with the team  Partner with internal stakeholders to support rate negotiations, terms, and multi-year agreements Providing systems support across digital platforms and including participating in new systems development meetings  Work closely with Planning management to tactically drive company-wide goals and initiatives   Support Planning Leadership with various ad hoc projects, including but not limited to working with Sales /Planning /Research/Marketing/Finance Leads/AI-enabled tools    Become a Sports Digital subject matter expert, including understanding of sponsorships, marketing elements, social metrics, programmatic, content and ad distribution points, and other nuances within the ecosystem  Contribute to the training and development of Planning Managers and Planners  Bachelors degree required   5+ years of online experience in digital media planning or buying   Must have prior experience managing and developing direct reports Fluent in Media Math   Excellent Time Management, Presentation Skills & Desire to Train Others   Understanding of Audience/Age/Gender/Targeted Metrics    Strong computer skills required including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).      Eligibility Requirements  Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be considered  Must be willing to work in New York, NY  Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice due to the live nature of Sports  Willingness to work in New York office a minimum of 4 days per week, outside of tentpole events, which may require more days  Must be willing to be submit a background investigation  Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States   Must be 18 years or older     Desired Characteristics  This position requires a strong media math skill set  Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment  A strong ability to perform independently and proactively while working in a team environment and managing a team  Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with a broad range of internal and external clients  Well organized and strong attention to detail  Strong interpersonal and communication skills/team oriented  Ad Serving software and tracking knowledge are a plus  Strong analytical and creative skills  High energy and teamwork mentality are a must   Additional Requirements: Hybrid : This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
