This senior technology leadership role sits at the intersection of engineering, strategy, design, and emerging technology. You will lead technology strategy and delivery across complex digital experiences while partnering closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The position combines technical leadership, enterprise architecture, project delivery, client engagement, and business development. You will guide engineering teams, influence technology standards, and help translate ambitious business and creative concepts into scalable production solutions. The role also provides an opportunity to shape the adoption of Generative AI, modern cloud infrastructure, advanced data solutions, and evolving architectural patterns. You will operate in a collaborative, globally distributed environment where technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning are central to the work. Accountabilities: Partner with clients to understand their technology needs, translate business challenges into actionable solutions, provide strategic recommendations, and build trusted technology relationships. Develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business objectives, while identifying opportunities to introduce innovative technologies, architectures, and delivery approaches. Oversee the assessment, planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring work remains aligned with scope, timelines, budgets, quality expectations, and client objectives. Lead and guide engineering teams across web and mobile initiatives, establishing effective delivery practices and maintaining high standards for development, testing, code quality, performance, and reliability. Identify, assess, and mitigate technology, security, delivery, and compliance risks throughout the project lifecycle. Manage relationships with technology vendors and external partners, coordinating multi-vendor solution delivery and leveraging external expertise where appropriate. Develop technical client relationships and identify opportunities for organic account growth in collaboration with account leadership and multidisciplinary teams. Support outbound business development activities and new business opportunities by contributing technical expertise, solution recommendations, delivery approaches, and paid appraisals when required. Drive innovation across the engineering community by monitoring emerging technologies, architectural approaches, AI capabilities, and advanced data solutions and determining how they can enhance project delivery. Establish and promote best practices across engineering, including modern software development lifecycle approaches, cloud architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, security, and scalable digital platforms. Provide technical leadership across Adobe and AEM initiatives, including AEM architecture, Edge Delivery Services expertise, development prototypes, engineering best practices, and the incorporation of relevant emerging technologies. Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering continuous learning, knowledge sharing, professional development, and a collaborative technical culture. Leverage modern AI coding tools and AI-enabled technologies to accelerate specification-driven development, refactoring, code review, analysis, and operational workflows while maintaining strong quality and test coverage. Requirements: Significant experience leading and scaling engineering teams, including experience mentoring and managing teams of 10 or more developers. Extensive experience leading full-stack development teams across web and mobile platforms, with the ability to oversee multiple technical disciplines simultaneously. Demonstrated success managing complex technology initiatives with multiple workstreams while maintaining accountability for quality, timelines, budgets, and delivery outcomes. Strong ability to balance technical excellence with commercial and business priorities and translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and solution approaches. Experience managing onshore, offshore, and globally distributed engineering teams and coordinating work across different locations and disciplines. Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with creative, account, strategy, engineering, and other multidisciplinary partners. Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, rapidly understanding complex problems, evolving solutions, and communicating recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience communicating delivery strategies with client executives, explaining technical approaches in accessible business language and articulating their benefits and differentiators. Strong knowledge of modern architectural patterns such as Jamstack and MACH, as well as enterprise platforms including CMS, DAM, CDN, and related digital experience technologies. Expertise implementing, governing, and scaling multidisciplinary software development lifecycles across digital organizations. Strong understanding of digital marketing technology stacks and their associated components, together with experience managing multi-vendor technology solutions. Proven experience designing and implementing scalable microservices architectures, particularly within cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Vercel. Experience with modern AI coding tools such as Gemini or Claude Code, including their use for specification-driven development, automated refactoring, and AI-assisted code reviews. Experience with autonomous multi-agent systems, including task planning, memory management, tool calling and APIs, and evaluation frameworks. Track record of orchestrating complex third-party API integrations while maintaining system reliability and architectural coherence. Experience implementing authentication solutions such as Auth0 and content access controls for premium or paid content. Experience architecting and scaling e-commerce solutions, including security considerations and payment flows. Strong knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices supporting rapid, reliable, and repeatable software deployment. Benefits: Base salary range of $163,000–$200,000 USD.
