The successful candidate will prepare, handle, and test assemblies, accurately document all work, maintain a clean work area, and perform routine equipment maintenance while operating with minimal supervision. Electro/Mechanical Assembler needed at NOV Cedar Park, TX to perform precise mechanical assembly, testing, documentation, and equipment upkeep in the Data Cable Manufacturing cell. High school diploma or equivalent education (i.e. GED) required At least 6 months of previous experience in single piece flow assembly production lines preferred. Proficiency reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics. Basic knowledge of electrical components and wiring practices. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation. Good problem‑solving skills; able to resolve routine issues independently. Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting. Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, minimally supervised setting. Compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Job Requirements: Good communication skills (verbal and written) Must work well in a team-oriented work environment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics Basic math skills. Basic inspection knowledge. Firm understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S principles. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand/power tools and computers. Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 40 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Standing 65%-100% of the time Some Overtime needed Typically reports to a supervisor/manager Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work orders to assemble components. Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, fastening, and aligning parts. Assemble and install either electrical, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic pneumatic components. Conduct functional and performance testing of assembled units. Identify and resolve minor assembly issues; escalate complex problems as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including light housekeeping duties. Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools and equipment. Assist in inventory control by tracking parts usage and reporting shortages. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
