Food Storeroom Manager Hyatt Regency Atlanta is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Food Storeroom Manager to oversee the receiving, storage, organization, and distribution of food and beverage products throughout the hotel. This role ensures that inventory is accurate, properly handled, and readily available to support exceptional guest experiences and efficient culinary operations. Responsibilities • Manage daily food storeroom operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, and inventory control. • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices for quantity, quality, freshness, and accuracy. • Maintain proper food-safety, sanitation, temperature-control, and product-rotation standards. • Use FIFO principles to minimize waste and ensure product freshness. • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with Purchasing, Culinary, and Food & Beverage leadership. • Conduct regular physical inventories, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records in the hotel’s inventory systems. • Organize storage areas to promote cleanliness, accessibility, safety, and efficient workflow. • Track product usage, spoilage, credits, returns, and damaged goods. • Supervise, train, schedule, and coach storeroom colleagues in accordance with Hyatt standards. • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, delivery personnel, and internal hotel departments. • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, local health regulations, and Hyatt operating standards. • Support sustainable practices by reducing food waste, managing packaging, and using resources responsibly. • Assist with special events, high-volume periods, and other operational needs as assigned. Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in hotel, restaurant, institutional, or large-scale food and beverage inventory operations. • Supervisory or management experience required. • Strong knowledge of food products, receiving procedures, storage requirements, and food-safety practices. • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to accurately use inventory, purchasing, point-of-sale, and Microsoft Office systems. • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products and equipment; regularly handle cases and packages weighing up to 50 pounds. • Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer environments. • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Food-safety certification, such as ServSafe, is preferred or may be required.
