LTS is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Functional Business Analyst to support a major AI modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health portfolio. This role will support business process analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and modernization efforts tied to mission-critical healthcare systems and enterprise transformation initiatives supporting Veteran healthcare services nationwide. Unlike traditional roles, business requirements must be extracted directly from the existing functionality of the module and through AI tools—analyzing current workflows, business rules, and system behavior to understand how the system works today. Key responsibilities include: Analyze and reverse-engineer business, functional, and technical requirements from the existing VistA/MUMPS Prosthetics module; Conduct stakeholder interviews, workflow analyses, and gap assessments; Translate business needs into user stories, epics, process flows, and requirements documentation; Support Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release validation; Develop and maintain project documentation including BRDs, functional specifications, and workflow diagrams. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, functional understanding of VA VistA and the Prosthetics module, and experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence.
