This role supports a federal healthcare program by transforming complex data into accurate, timely, and actionable business intelligence. You will help maintain reporting solutions that provide visibility into enrollment, claims, healthcare utilization, costs, performance, and compliance. The position combines data analysis, business intelligence, reporting validation, and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders. You will work closely with report developers, data engineers, database administrators, analytics leaders, and program teams. Your attention to data quality will help ensure that leadership and government stakeholders can make informed operational and healthcare decisions. Accountabilities: Support the development, enhancement, maintenance, and updating of Power BI dashboards covering enrollment, claims, utilization, healthcare costs, program performance, and compliance metrics. Collaborate with report developers, analytics leaders, data engineers, database administrators, and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and clarify business needs. Review reporting outputs and investigate discrepancies to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and fit for business use. Perform data validation and document findings, business rules, assumptions, and reporting requirements. Maintain report inventories and supporting documentation to promote consistency, traceability, and effective report management. Assist with report migration activities and user acceptance testing, including test preparation, execution, issue identification, and follow-up. Use Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, and related technologies to prepare data and maintain reporting models. Develop and execute SQL queries against relational databases to support analysis, validation, and reporting activities. Use Azure DevOps to organize documentation, track development activities, and support established delivery processes. Follow defined development, testing, privacy, access, and data-handling standards when working with sensitive healthcare information. Partner with technical and business teams to resolve data-quality issues and improve reporting processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen reporting accuracy, usability, and operational efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. At least 2 years of related professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, healthcare analytics, or a comparable discipline. Hands-on experience with Power BI and Power Query . Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases. Experience performing data validation, investigating discrepancies, and documenting analytical findings. Experience developing or maintaining reporting documentation, business rules, report inventories, or similar analytical artifacts. Familiarity with Azure DevOps and structured software or reporting-development environments. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure SQL is preferred. Ability to support report testing, user acceptance testing, migration activities, and quality-assurance processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inconsistencies and determine appropriate resolutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership. Ability to work independently while following established processes, standards, and timelines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy and data quality. Ability to follow strict privacy, security, access, and data-handling requirements. U.S. citizenship is required. Ability to meet applicable contract suitability and access requirements.
