This senior commercial leadership role will drive national sales strategy and execution within a rapidly evolving healthcare technology environment. You will own revenue growth initiatives, market expansion, customer acquisition, and sales performance across the country. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership, including building, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales organization. You will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams spanning reimbursement, billing, operations, marketing, customer success, and clinical partnerships. A strong understanding of regulated healthcare markets, medical AI, laboratory-developed tests, and medical software will be important to success. The position also offers an opportunity to influence go-to-market strategy as the organization expands its presence in oncology. Accountabilities Develop and execute a comprehensive national commercial and sales strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives. Build and maintain a focused national sales plan, establishing clear milestones, targets, lead metrics, and performance expectations. Drive revenue growth, market expansion, customer acquisition, and development of new commercial opportunities. Establish effective sales processes, pipeline-management practices, account-management standards, and performance metrics. Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, mentor, and inspire a high-performing national sales team. Build a culture of accountability, continuous learning, initiative, innovation, collaboration, and sustained performance. Maintain a strong network of experienced sales professionals and develop a talent pipeline for future growth. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, customer relationships, and potential revenue streams. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and strategic partners to support growth and customer satisfaction. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, market opportunities, and areas for commercial differentiation. Translate market intelligence into actionable recommendations for product positioning, pricing, sales strategy, and go-to-market initiatives. Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to increase team efficiency, effectiveness, and commercial performance. Collaborate closely with reimbursement, billing, operations, marketing, customer success, and clinical strategic partnerships to align commercial activities with broader business objectives. Maintain strong knowledge of products, scientific concepts, and relevant clinical applications while serving as a subject-matter resource for the sales team and customers. Lead by example through regular one-on-one meetings, field visits, coaching sessions, and performance reviews with sales team members. Monitor sales trends and performance against targets, identify gaps, and take timely action to support achievement of goals. Lead regular sales meetings and team discussions that encourage engagement, knowledge sharing, best-practice development, and accountability. Represent the organization at corporate meetings, trade shows, industry events, and other relevant gatherings. Monitor regulatory, reimbursement, technology, and broader industry developments and incorporate relevant insights into commercial strategy. Champion disciplined account management and ensure sales activity and performance are consistently tracked against established objectives. Requirements Proven experience leading sales organizations and driving revenue growth within startup environments, particularly medical technology, healthcare AI, or other regulated healthcare markets. Demonstrated experience selling both laboratory-developed tests and medical software is strongly relevant to the role. Significant senior-level sales leadership and business development experience with a demonstrated record of commercial achievement. Experience building, scaling, and managing high-performing sales teams, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to turn market intelligence and customer insights into practical commercial plans. Demonstrated ability to establish a culture of accountability and consistently manage performance against measurable goals. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers, partners, executives, and internal stakeholders. Strong leadership capabilities with an emphasis on developing people, encouraging initiative, and driving sustained performance. Results-oriented approach with a strong focus on revenue growth, customer value, and commercial execution. Experience working within regulated healthcare environments and navigating the operational constraints associated with medical products and technologies. Experience or substantial knowledge of breast cancer oncology and biomarkers is highly desirable. Ability to understand and communicate product and scientific information effectively with sales teams, healthcare customers, and other stakeholders. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to align commercial priorities with clinical, operational, reimbursement, marketing, and customer-success objectives. Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and closely connected to sales execution. Alignment with a mission focused on using medical technology and AI to support more personalized decisions for cancer patients and physicians. Benefits Base salary of  $215,000–$230,000 per year .
