WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Oracle Database Engineer will perform highly complex (senior-level) computer systems analysis work. Work involves planning and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems. May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Architect, develop, and maintain complex backend database systems using Oracle PL/SQL (Procedures, Functions, and Packages). -Engineer, build, and optimize automated ETL pipelines utilizing Informatica Cloud Services (IICS). -Translate business requirements into robust, scalable database designs and technical specifications. -Reverse-engineer, refactor, and modernize legacy SQL and PL/SQL codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability. -Perform query optimization, performance tuning, and index management within an Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. -Design and implement robust error-handling, data validation, and logging mechanisms within ETL processes and database code. -Write and maintain clear, concise technical documentation including system architectures, data flow diagrams, and codebase comments. -Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems with downstream reporting tools and applications. -Participate in peer code reviews, enforce coding standards, and contribute to the establishment of database engineering best practices. -Perform other duties as assigned. YOU QUALIFY WITH: -Three years of full-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis and/or program analysis or three years of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis. -Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
