We are seeking an Overnight Supervisor to support our Rooms Division by providing operational leadership and hands-on support across Front Office and Housekeeping. This role will also serve as a liaison and trusted partner to other hotel departments, including Engineering and Security, facilitating clear communication and coordinated follow-through to support seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences. The Overnight Supervisor will oversee the Front Office and evening Housekeeping teams during assigned shifts, ensuring that service is timely, professional, and in compliance with hotel standards. The position is both operational and hands-on, with the expectation that the Overnight Supervisor will provide coverage and direct support in Front Office and Housekeeping as needed. Schedule Shifts will generally be 8.5 hours in duration, starting anywhere between 7 pm until 11 pm typically from Tuesday through Saturday, based on operational needs. Schedule requirements may vary and evolve based on hotel occupancy, events, weekends, holidays, and other business needs. What You’ll Do ·       Serve as the primary Rooms Division point of contact during assigned evening and overnight shifts, providing operational leadership and hands-on support across Front Office and Housekeeping. ·       Supervise, train, coach, and support Front Office and Housekeeping colleagues, including directing daily work, resolving issues, and providing shift coverage as business needs require. ·       Oversee PM Housekeeping operations, including turndown service, guest-request deliveries, room readiness, public area coverage, and the timely completion of evening assignments in accordance with hotel standards. ·       Monitor Housekeeping workflow, coverage, and room status throughout the evening and overnight hours, adjusting priorities based on occupancy, VIP arrivals, late arrivals, guest requests, and operational needs. ·       Follow up on incomplete or outstanding work and verify the completion of end-of-shift responsibilities for public area attendants, housepersons, and other PM Housekeeping colleagues. ·       Welcome and assist arriving and departing guests by completing check-in and check-out procedures, responding to requests, providing hotel and local information, and ensuring a warm, professional experience. ·       Manage guest complaints, compliments, billing requests, and other concerns with professionalism, empathy, and appropriate follow-through. ·       Maintain current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities, services, events, points of interest, and local experiences, and promote hotel offerings when appropriate. ·       Partner with Engineering, Security, and other hotel departments to coordinate guest needs, communicate operational priorities, and ensure maintenance and service issues are properly logged, addressed, and followed up on. ·       Assist with or complete overnight audit responsibilities as assigned, including reviewing Front Office work, guest accounts, billing, cash transactions, reports, and daily financial activity. Overnight audit is an occasional responsibility and is not the primary focus of the role. ·       Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property’s cash-handling policy, support the accuracy of hotel records, and maintain awareness of hotel activity and overnight safety and security procedures. ·       Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of management, uphold Hyatt and Thompson service standards, and complete all other tasks and duties as assigned. Care Connects Us. At least one year of experience as a Front Desk Agent, Guest Services Agent, or in a comparable hospitality or customer service role; supervisory experience preferred. At least one year of Housekeeping experience preferred. PM Housekeeping or turndown experience preferred. Experience supporting or overseeing Front Office and Housekeeping operations preferred. Previous overnight or Night Audit experience helpful but not required. Working knowledge of Opera Cloud and food and beverage point-of-sale systems preferred. Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Positive and professional demeanor with a cheerful, dependable, and caring approach. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain composed, make sound decisions, and prioritize effectively during evening and overnight operations. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with other hotel departments. Ability and willingness to provide hands-on support in both Front Office and Housekeeping as needed. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle guest information and financial transactions. Ability to provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and move throughout the hotel and guestroom areas. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain alert during evening and overnight hours.
