In this role the fellow will work directly with the SVP of Performance Improvement & National Networks to support key initiatives that advance Vizient's Member Networks, Performance Improvement, and Education & Learning strategic priorities. You will contribute to operations improvement, project management, and cross-functional collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to enhance existing performance improvement programs and services while helping develop innovative solutions that better meet providers' evolving needs. This is a full-time, one-year fellowship beginning in June 2027. What distinguishes the PI Fellowship at Vizient: The Vizient Performance Improvement Fellowship provides a uniquely comprehensive perspective on the shared challenges faced by healthcare organizations across the country. Within the organization, Fellows work closely with executive leadership, collaborate with project directors on critical initiatives that shape the healthcare industry, and have opportunities to lead projects aligned with their interests. Additionally, Fellows work alongside healthcare executives from over 200 of the leading academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, community hospitals, and national health systems to address complex challenges in quality, safety, operations, and performance improvement. Responsibilities: Lead high-impact strategic initiatives with Vizient members and cross-functional teams to improve quality, safety, operations, and performance. Partner with executive leaders, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to drive project execution. Facilitate meetings, presentations, and collaborative workgroups with senior leaders and member organizations. Conduct research, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Develop executive-level presentations, reports, white papers, and other deliverables to support strategic decision-making. Contribute to the design and advancement of innovative performance improvement programs, products, and member resources. Participate in executive leadership meetings and gain firsthand exposure to enterprise strategy and decision-making. Qualifications: MHA, MPH, or Master’s degree in a related field is required. No previous work experience is required. Previous internships in a healthcare setting are strongly preferred. Strong quantitative and project management skills, including familiarity with performance improvement methodology preferred. Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills preferred. Strong written and verbal skills and project management capabilities are preferred. Willingness to travel. Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
