Summary: In this role, you will contribute to reducing overall healthcare supply chain costs by improving price accuracy across purchasing and item master processes. You will support the purchasing and item master services infrastructure by collaborating with buyers, transaction analysts, item master, and quality assurance teams to maintain accurate pricing data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure high-quality support for client purchasing activities. Responsibilities: Interact with clients, contracted vendors, and distributors to resolve vendor pricing issues and support price accuracy initiatives. Send weekly Price Management discrepancy summary communications to support issue resolution and reporting. Serve as a liaison for contract data issues related to pricing, units of measure, manufacturers, catalog numbers, and other item attributes. Assist Spend Management with custom pricing requests, contract enrollment, tier management, and distribution mark-up processing. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, distributors, and Spend Management stakeholders. Analyze pricing discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to improve data quality and pricing accuracy. Support the maintenance of accurate purchasing and item master data to ensure efficient client purchasing operations. Utilize Excel and SQL queries to analyze pricing data, identify trends, and support operational reporting. Qualifications: Relevant degree preferred. 2 or more years of relevant experience required. Strong Excel and analytical skills required. Experience designing and modifying SQL queries. Knowledge of purchasing data, contracts, and pricing tiers preferred. Understanding of medical suppliers, distributors, and their business relationships preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
