Our partner is looking for a Principal Consultant, Solutions Architect ServiceNow - Technology & Security based in the United States. As a Principal Consultant, you will lead the architecture and delivery of complex ServiceNow solutions across technology, security, and risk environments. You will work directly with clients to translate business and technical challenges into scalable platform strategies and implementations. The role spans ITSM, ITOM, Security Operations, and Integrated Risk Management, connecting core IT workflows with security and compliance capabilities. You will shape CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, incident response, vulnerability management, and governance solutions. Beyond individual engagements, you will help develop repeatable architectures, accelerators, and best practices that can scale across clients. You will provide technical leadership to development teams while contributing to executive-level discussions, quality assurance, and pre-sales activities. Accountabilities: As a Principal Consultant, you will lead the planning, architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement of ServiceNow solutions while serving as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal teams. Lead the planning, solution design, execution, and deployment of ServiceNow consulting and technical services across ITSM, ITOM, Security Operations, and Integrated Risk Management. Architect CMDB and CSDM foundations, Discovery, and Service Mapping strategies supporting both IT operations and security use cases. Design Security Operations solutions covering Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response. Develop integrations between ServiceNow security solutions and SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, and threat intelligence platforms. Design IRM solutions covering policy and compliance management, risk management, governance, and continuous monitoring aligned with client control frameworks. Partner with IT, security, risk, and compliance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Provide thought leadership on connecting IT operations, security operations, and risk management through a unified ServiceNow platform. Develop repeatable technical solutions, accelerators, and reference architectures that can be leveraged across multiple client engagements. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day direction to development teams. Establish and enforce ServiceNow development and deployment standards, methodologies, and best practices. Conduct quality assurance reviews and maintain high standards for technical deliverables. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across ServiceNow implementations. Stay current with ServiceNow capabilities, emerging technologies, and industry trends to identify opportunities for clients. Support the selection, onboarding, and management of contractors, vendors, and development resources. Contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, pricing, technical demonstrations, and client discussions. Communicate technical strategies, architecture decisions, risks, and recommendations clearly to executive and technical stakeholders. Manage multiple assignments and priorities while maintaining strong client relationships and delivery quality. Requirements: The ideal candidate combines deep ServiceNow expertise with broad technology knowledge, strong consulting capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex solutions effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders. 5+ successful ServiceNow deployments. 5+ years of experience within the ServiceNow ecosystem, either with a ServiceNow partner or directly with ServiceNow. 7+ years of overall technology experience. 3+ ITSM or ITOM deployments. At least one delivery involving Security Operations, such as Security Incident Response or Vulnerability Response, or Integrated Risk Management/GRC is strongly preferred. Extensive experience with the Software Development Lifecycle and ServiceNow NowCreate methodology. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required. At least one Certified Implementation Specialist certification is required in a core technology area such as ITSM or ITOM, or a security-aligned area such as Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response, Risk and Compliance, or equivalent. Holding certifications across both core technology and security-aligned ServiceNow areas is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of security and risk frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 is a plus. Strong understanding of ITIL principles is a plus. Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving capabilities. Proven ability to identify complex client challenges and develop practical, scalable solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executives. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and managing multiple concurrent assignments. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to expand professional networks through strategic engagement. Experience in Energy & Utilities, Healthcare, or Manufacturing is a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required. Prior consulting and client-facing delivery experience is strongly beneficial. Willingness to travel as required for client engagements. Ability to work in the United States and meet applicable work authorization requirements.
