This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Assistant Service Manager based in the United States. This remote leadership role oversees a team responsible for accurate and timely work order management across a military housing portfolio. You’ll play a key role in maintaining data integrity, operational consistency, and strong resident service outcomes. The position combines people leadership, performance management, reporting, process improvement, and customer service escalation. You’ll monitor key performance indicators, identify operational gaps, and partner with local property teams to resolve issues. The role also offers an opportunity to coach and develop a distributed team while strengthening standardized workflows and accountability. The successful candidate will bring a detail-oriented, solutions-focused approach to a dynamic, collaborative environment. Because of the portfolio supported, candidates must live within reasonable driving distance of one of the designated military housing locations. Accountabilities: Lead and provide day-to-day oversight, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for a remote team of Service Center Coordinators. Ensure established procedures for work order prioritization, processing, documentation, and closure are consistently followed. Oversee work order and purchase order data, reviewing records for accuracy, completeness, and consistency within property management systems. Monitor work order KPIs, closure rates, response times, and other operational metrics, preparing regular reports and identifying areas requiring attention. Investigate inconsistencies involving maintenance, property turnover, documentation, or purchasing processes and coordinate appropriate corrective action. Maintain compliance with work order reporting requirements and ensure accurate information is available for operational and financial reporting. Communicate regularly with local property management leadership regarding recurring issues, overdue work orders, incomplete documentation, customer concerns, and other matters requiring escalation. Support the resolution of escalated customer service matters with professionalism, responsiveness, and a strong focus on resident satisfaction. Maintain expert knowledge of relevant property management software, including auditing, validation, testing, and monitoring of system updates and functionality. Train team members on standard operating procedures, workflows, accountability, business objectives, financial considerations, and sound decision-making. Support recruitment and retention efforts in collaboration with regional leadership while establishing clear expectations and promoting ownership and accountability. Perform Service Center Coordinator responsibilities as needed and contribute to other operational initiatives and assignments. Requirements 3+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 6 months of experience in residential property management. At least 1 year of experience supervising or leading a team, preferably including remote employees. Demonstrated experience with work order tracking, dispatch, documentation, and end-to-end work order and purchase order processes. Strong understanding of property management software, with the ability to maintain data integrity through auditing, validation, testing, and accurate data entry. Proven ability to build, motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams in a remote environment. Strong process orientation, with the ability to implement, explain, and train others on standardized procedures and workflows. Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and resolve escalated concerns professionally. Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, deadlines, and operational requirements while maintaining attention to detail. Proactive problem-solving and sound decision-making skills, with the judgment to identify when additional guidance or support is needed. High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, adaptability, and self-motivation. Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative remote team. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and multiple software applications in a paperless work environment. Ability to balance long-term assignments with day-to-day operational responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to travel up to 20%.
