ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Enter a bulleted listing of all essential functions) · Evaluates the efficacy of the Vectech IDX device for automated tick identification and prepares a report summarizing the findings. · Processes tick specimens, maintains project records, and collects and summarizes evaluation data. · Develops and distributes tick outreach kits and assists with training OSU Extension agents in their use. · Conducts on-site investigations of suspected emerging arthropod or vector-borne disease threats on Ohio agricultural properties. · Coordinates with the Principal Investigator, Extension personnel, veterinarians, agricultural stakeholders, and other project partners. Physical activities: Able to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
