Job Title: SDET – Python / WebDriver** Location:** Cincinnati, OH – Onsite – Only Locals Employment Type:** Contract Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled **Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)** with strong hands-on experience in **Python and Selenium WebDriver** to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Python, extensive experience building automation frameworks, and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, CI/CD, and Agile development. Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain robust **UI automation frameworks using Python and Selenium WebDriver**. * Create and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs. * Develop reusable automation components, utilities, and test libraries using Python. * Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing. * Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot application defects and automation failures. * Integrate automated tests into **CI/CD pipelines** and support continuous testing. * Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and business teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios. * Participate in test planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, and reporting. * Perform cross-browser testing and ensure application compatibility. * Implement effective test data management and reporting mechanisms. * Review test results, investigate failures, and provide root-cause analysis. * Contribute to improving automation coverage, framework scalability, and test execution efficiency. * Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement of QA processes. Required Skills * **8+ years of experience in Software Testing / SDET / QA Automation.** * **Strong hands-on Python programming experience.** * **Strong Selenium WebDriver experience.** * Experience developing automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks. * Strong understanding of **Page Object Model (POM)** and automation design patterns. * Experience with **PyTest / unittest** or similar Python testing frameworks. * Strong experience with web application testing. * Experience with **API testing** using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or Python-based API frameworks. * Strong understanding of **SQL and database validation**. * Experience with **Git/GitHub/GitLab**. * Experience integrating automation with **Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools**. * Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies. * Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills * Experience with **BDD / Cucumber / Behave**. * Experience with **Docker and cloud-based testing environments**. * Experience with performance or load testing tools. * Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript. * Experience testing microservices and distributed applications. * Experience working with AWS or Azure. * Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
