This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Security Architect based in the United States. This role focuses on designing, securing, and supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure within a modern IT Infrastructure and Operations environment. You will take a leading role in Microsoft Azure architecture, administration, engineering, and cloud security. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on expertise across cloud networking, identity, security, storage, databases, and monitoring services. You will help guide cloud migrations, make critical security and compliance decisions, and support reliable hybrid environments. The role also involves mentoring architects and engineering professionals while contributing to technical standards and documentation. This is an opportunity for an experienced cloud professional to shape secure, scalable infrastructure across a complex technology environment. Accountabilities: You will lead cloud architecture and security initiatives while providing technical direction across Azure infrastructure, migration projects, and hybrid cloud operations. Develop Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and lead technical discussions around infrastructure design and implementation. Lead decisions related to cloud security, privacy, compliance, and risk management. Support the migration of on-premises applications and services to Microsoft Azure. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to architects and engineering staff. Support Azure system administration and engineering activities within the IT Infrastructure and Operations team. Design and manage secure cloud networking, connectivity, firewalls, identity, and infrastructure services. Help maintain reliable cloud operations across Azure and AWS environments. Stay current with Microsoft Azure developments, cloud technologies, security practices, and industry best practices. Create and maintain clear technical documentation covering cloud architecture, infrastructure, security, and operational processes. Contribute to hybrid cloud architecture and operational initiatives where required. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced cloud architect with strong Microsoft Azure expertise and a solid understanding of AWS, cloud security, networking, and hybrid infrastructure. You should be comfortable leading technical discussions, making security decisions, documenting complex environments, and mentoring other technical professionals. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field; 5+ years of relevant experience may substitute for formal education. 5+ years of professional experience with the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. Strong experience with Azure security, firewalls, Key Vault, Service Bus, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), networking, OMS, Blob Storage, Resource Groups, NSGs, Application Insights, SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Load Balancers. 5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Platform, including cloud architecture, administration, resource allocation, security, and network connectivity. 3+ years of experience creating technical documentation. Knowledge of cloud security, privacy, compliance, identity, and access management. Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Security Operations Analyst, or Security Administrator are preferred. Experience with on-premises-to-cloud migrations. Experience supporting and managing hybrid cloud environments and operations. Strong technical communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to architects and engineering teams. Must be currently located in the United States. Must be able to work on a W-2 basis and maintain at least 6 months of valid U.S. work authorization. Benefits: $170,000 salary. 12-month contract opportunity.
