This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst based in the United States. This role combines commercial analysis, pricing, quotation development, and business reporting within a technical industrial environment. You will support multiple business units by developing accurate, competitive quotations and strengthening commercial decision-making. The position works closely with sales, operations, customer service, quality, legal, and other internal stakeholders. You’ll use structured costing models, financial data, and commercial insights to support pricing and margin objectives. The role also contributes to forecasting, reporting, performance tracking, and continuous improvement across the commercial function. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills will be important when working with operational teams and senior stakeholders. Accountabilities Prepare quotations across relevant business units, including HIP, heat treatment, and surface technology, following established commercial guidelines. Develop accurate pricing using structured mathematical models, established costing standards, margin expectations, and competitive market knowledge. Maintain accurate quotation records and commercial data in Salesforce, ensuring consistent data quality and detailed documentation. Follow established procedures for developing pricing across various plant processes while collaborating with commercial, sales, operations, and customer service teams. Review and implement quotation revisions as directed by commercial leadership. Prepare meaningful commercial metrics and present reporting to sales and commercial management on a regular basis. Develop and implement commercial reporting, forecasting, tracking, and other analytical tools to support business planning and decision-making. Collaborate with customers and internal teams, including quality, customer service, order entry, billing, and accounts receivable, to investigate and resolve commercial issues. Support the preparation of NDAs, LTAs, and other commercial documentation as required. Foster effective collaboration with plants, corporate teams, and other stakeholders. Follow applicable environmental management, safety, operational, and company procedures. Take on additional commercial analysis and project responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Sales and Marketing, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may also be considered. At least 1–3 years of experience in quotation development, pricing, costing, commercial analysis, or a related field. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and related technical documentation. Strong numerical and analytical abilities, including a solid understanding of basic mathematics and algebraic functions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with senior management, plant personnel, sales teams, customers, and other stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in pricing, data entry, reporting, and documentation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities, follow established procedures, meet deadlines, and respond constructively to feedback. Ability to work collaboratively across functions and locations while maintaining ownership of assigned responsibilities. Professional proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Candidates must meet applicable ITAR requirements and therefore must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. Ability to work for extended periods in a seated office environment and perform required physical activities, including bending, reaching, pulling, and lifting approximately 25–30 pounds when necessary.
