This is a senior technical role focused on designing, implementing, securing, and supporting complex IT environments across diverse customer organizations. You will lead hands-on implementations spanning Microsoft and Google ecosystems, cloud identity, endpoint management, networking, and security infrastructure. The role combines technical depth with customer-facing leadership, requiring you to assess unfamiliar environments and develop practical implementation strategies. You will help organizations strengthen identity, endpoint, vulnerability, logging, backup, and access controls while supporting compliance-driven security requirements. Working closely with customer IT teams, vendors, and internal specialists, you will troubleshoot complex issues and ensure solutions are thoroughly validated and documented. The position also offers opportunities to mentor other engineers and turn successful implementations into repeatable standards, automation, and scalable practices. This is a remote U.S.-based opportunity with approximately 10–25% travel and a strong focus on mission-critical, security-conscious technology environments. Accountabilities: You will take ownership of technical implementation work across varied customer environments, partnering with compliance and technical stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and well-documented solutions. Assess unfamiliar customer IT environments and develop technical implementation plans in collaboration with compliance leadership. Configure, secure, and support Microsoft 365, GCC High, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, Google Workspace, Google Cloud Identity, and hybrid environments. Design, migrate, and operate endpoint-management programs across MDM and UEM platforms, including Jamf and Microsoft Intune. Implement identity and multifactor authentication controls, least-privilege access, endpoint security, logging, vulnerability management, patching, backup, and recovery capabilities. Configure and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices, as well as networks, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, DNS, and secure remote-access solutions. Work directly with customer IT teams, service providers, and vendors to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Validate completed implementations and create accurate configuration records, technical diagrams, evidence, and operational runbooks. Mentor and guide other implementation engineers while converting repeatable technical work into standards, scripts, automation, and scalable processes. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings senior-level experience across business IT infrastructure and security, with strong hands-on capabilities in both Microsoft and Google environments. You should be comfortable making independent technical decisions, communicating clearly with customers, and working effectively in a remote and asynchronous setting. Senior-level experience designing, administering, securing, and troubleshooting diverse business IT environments. Strong practical experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Google Workspace. Broad experience with mobile device management and unified endpoint management across multiple platforms, particularly Jamf and Microsoft Intune. Hands-on experience managing Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android environments. Solid knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, identity and access management, logging, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, patching, and backup systems. Demonstrated ability to lead customer implementations and make sound technical decisions independently. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical decisions in clear, accessible language. Ability to produce accurate technical documentation and operate effectively in remote, asynchronous environments. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Experience with GCC High, Azure, Google Cloud Identity, Apple Business Manager, Android Enterprise, Microsoft Defender, or Microsoft Purview is preferred. Experience in defense contracting or government environments, particularly with NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, or CMMC 2.0, is a plus. Familiarity with PowerShell, shell scripting, infrastructure as code, security monitoring, or workflow automation is desirable. Relevant Microsoft, Google, Apple, cloud, networking, or security certifications are advantageous. Benefits: Salary range of $148,750–$201,250 USD, depending on experience.
