Our partner is looking for a Senior Portfolio Analyst – Debt Capital Markets based in the United States. This role supports the underwriting and ongoing management of a sophisticated buy-side debt portfolio. You will combine financial analysis, credit assessment, business valuation, and portfolio monitoring to support informed lending decisions. Working closely with Relationship Managers and credit committees, you will prepare and present comprehensive credit packages for new, renewed, and restructured loans. The position offers broad exposure to financial performance, industry trends, loan documentation, and credit administration. You will operate with significant independence while collaborating across deal teams and internal departments. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to staff development, industry initiatives, and strategic projects. This is a fully remote position suited to an experienced credit professional who brings strong analytical judgment and an understanding of financial and lending environments. Accountabilities: Develop comprehensive credit information and recommendations for Relationship Managers and committees covering new loans, renewals, servicing actions, and restructurings. Co-sponsor credit recommendations with Relationship Managers and contribute to well-informed lending decisions. Review financial statements, forecasts, credit information, and other relevant materials to evaluate eligibility, returns, credit structure, and overall creditworthiness. Analyze cash flow, balance sheets, profitability, liquidity, and solvency to identify financial strengths, risks, and trends. Prepare complete and accurate credit packages for loan committees, ensuring sufficient time for review and decision-making. Conduct business and economic analysis, financial modeling, business valuations, and other analytical activities supporting the debt portfolio. Support credit administration and account servicing, including maintaining data quality and integrity within Salesforce and nCino. Monitor assigned portfolios on an ongoing basis and keep Relationship Managers informed of financial trends, compliance matters, and emerging credit concerns. Review credit agreements, loan documents, participation agreements, and related legal documentation to ensure consistency with approved credit actions. Respond promptly to internal and external account-related requests and maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders. Build strong, collaborative relationships across deal teams and cross-functional departments. Maintain current knowledge of assigned market segments, industry developments, and relevant economic trends. Participate in lender meetings, industry events, and other professional activities as required. Support the training and development of colleagues and review the work of other staff when assigned. Contribute to special projects and organizational initiatives as needed. Work independently under the general direction of the Debt Capital Markets Leader, with opportunities to mentor or train other team members. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field preferred. At least 7 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, lending, or a closely related field. Strong demonstrated expertise in cash-flow, balance-sheet, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis. Familiarity with accounting principles as well as banking policies, procedures, and processes. Working knowledge of Excel or comparable spreadsheet and analytical software, with strong proficiency in standard PC applications, word processing, email, and electronic spreadsheets. Ability to analyze, organize, prioritize, and categorize complex information and data from multiple sources. Strong financial and analytical judgment, with the ability to identify key risks, trends, and opportunities. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workloads effectively while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of applicable Farm Credit Administration regulations and relevant association and district policies and procedures. General knowledge of agriculture and/or agribusiness is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial and credit information clearly and persuasively. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative environment. Willingness to travel for business activities, team meetings, lender meetings, and industry events as required. Ability to work established business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work when necessary. Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and perform typical office-related activities; occasional lifting or movement of items up to 25 pounds may be required. Benefits: Annual base salary range of $98,644.40–$171,887.88 , with geographic adjustments based on the hired employee's location.
