You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through signed agreements and first bookings. The position is designed for a highly proactive sales professional with an established network of importer contacts and strong industry knowledge. You will sell a technology-enabled freight solution while working closely with pricing, supply, logistics, and origin teams. Accountabilities: As a Senior Sales Executive, you will drive new business development and manage the complete sales process while coordinating closely with internal teams to ensure commercially viable and successful customer transitions. Source and close new importer accounts through existing relationships, targeted outbound activity, referrals, and industry channels. Own the full sales cycle from initial conversation and qualification through signed agreement and first booking. Qualify prospects based on annual container volume, primary shipping lanes, existing forwarder relationships, decision-making processes, and business drivers. Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline with defined stages, clear next steps, mutual timelines, and accurate CRM information. Identify weaknesses in incumbent forwarding relationships, such as poor shipment visibility, unreliable transit times, unpredictable pricing, limited origin support, or inadequate account service. Work with ocean contracts and pricing teams to develop competitive rates and commercially sustainable proposals. Provide account- and lane-level volume forecasts to support supply and operational planning. Ensure a smooth handoff of newly acquired accounts to account management and operations teams. Monitor ocean freight market developments, including rate movements, capacity, carrier alliance changes, GRIs, peak-season surcharges, and regulatory changes. Demonstrate the technology platform and connect its capabilities to the specific needs and challenges of prospective customers. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B sales professional with a proven record of winning new business in ocean freight forwarding, NVOCC, or 3PL environments. You should combine strong industry knowledge and an established importer network with disciplined sales execution, commercial judgment, and the independence required to succeed in a fully remote setting. Proven track record of closing new business in ocean freight forwarding, NVOCC, or 3PL sales. Experience carrying and achieving a new-business sales quota. An active network or book of importer contacts that can be leveraged immediately. Strong knowledge of ocean freight, including shipping lanes, transit times, contract versus spot rates, MQC commitments, and total landed cost. Ability to identify customer pain points and build compelling solutions against incumbent providers. Strong pipeline management, qualification, forecasting, and sales-process discipline. Experience selling technology-enabled or technology-differentiated services is preferred. Ability to demonstrate software and clearly explain the value of shipment data and analytics to customers. Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. High level of self-direction and comfort managing priorities independently in a fully remote environment. No territory restrictions. 100% remote work opportunity. Dedicated CRM support for sales automation and workflow development. Marketing support for presentations and sales content. Dedicated ocean contracts and pricing team supporting customer proposals. Logistics and China-based origin teams supporting customer accounts.
