Software Solutions Architect – Salesforce*/164573/F2F required Client:* State of Michigan – MDHHS Location:* Lansing, MI – Hybrid Duration:* 6 Months Contract-to-Hire Education:* Bachelor’s Degree Required *Interview* * *1st Round:* 60-minute virtual MS Teams interview with video. * *2nd Round: In-person interview.* *Job Summary* The State of Michigan is seeking a **Software Solutions Architect / Salesforce Application Architect** to support the modernization and operations of critical MDHHS Child Welfare systems, including **MiSACWIS and CCWIS**. The role will lead Salesforce architecture, development, integration, security, and technical delivery while ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant enterprise solutions. *Key Responsibilities* * Lead end-to-end **Salesforce architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation**. * Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions. * Conduct Salesforce **Org Health Checks** and platform assessments. * Support **Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Field Service Lightning (FSL)** solutions. * Design and implement system integrations using **Java, SQL, Web Services**, and other technologies. * Design and maintain **CI/CD pipelines**, pipeline-as-code, branching strategies, automated testing, and code reviews. * Ensure compliance with **SADLC, security policies, State of Michigan standards, and regulatory requirements**. * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams. * Lead POCs, technical reviews, architecture decisions, and complex system design activities. * Support critical Tier 2/24×7 applications and integration with external systems and agencies. * Research and recommend improvements to development tools, technologies, and processes. *Required Skills* * Bachelor’s Degree. * **5+ years** gathering and analyzing business/technical requirements with stakeholders. * **5+ years hands-on Salesforce experience**. * **5+ years experience with SQL, Java, and Web Services**. * Strong experience designing and implementing **CI/CD pipelines**. * Experience with pipeline-as-code, branching strategies, automated code reviews, and testing. * **2–3 Salesforce certifications required**. * Strong communication and technical leadership skills. *Preferred* * Salesforce Architect Certification. * Enterprise-level Salesforce implementation experience. * Database-related certifications. * Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and FSL. *Work Arrangement – Mandatory* * **Wednesday & Thursday: Onsite** * **Monday, Tuesday & Friday: Remote** * No remote-only option. * Candidate must be able to follow this schedule **from Day 1**. * Candidate must be **local to Lansing, MI within 90 miles** at the time of submission.
