This role combines enterprise solution architecture with a strong focus on cloud and application security. You’ll design scalable, reliable, and secure architectures for complex software systems and digital solutions. Working closely with clients, business analysts, architects, and development teams, you’ll translate business needs into effective technical designs. You’ll help embed security throughout the software development lifecycle, from architecture and threat modeling to CI/CD and deployment. Accountabilities: As a Solution Architect, you will lead the design of secure, scalable technology solutions while providing technical direction throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with clients, business analysts, architects, and development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Design and develop end-to-end architectures for complex software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, performance, and security. Develop architectural frameworks and approaches that strengthen and secure solution design and development processes. Create architectural blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and documentation to clearly communicate solution designs to technical and business stakeholders. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, tools, and platforms based on project requirements and architectural objectives. Integrate security principles into software development and CI/CD processes to enable secure and efficient delivery models. Conduct threat modeling, risk analysis, and security assessments, documenting risks and defining appropriate mitigating controls. Apply security architecture principles across identity and authentication, cryptography, application security, network security, cloud security, and related domains. Assist development teams throughout the software development lifecycle by providing architectural guidance and technical expertise. Conduct code reviews and provide technical direction to ensure solutions adhere to established architectural and security standards. Identify technical and security risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and support timely resolution of issues. Collaborate with security, engineering, and delivery teams to implement security services and strengthen application environments. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies and provide recommendations for continuous architectural and security improvements. Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, transparency, professionalism, and strong security practices. Requirements: The ideal candidate combines extensive solution architecture experience with deep expertise in cloud and cybersecurity, along with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered. Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a comparable architecture role, with a strong software development background. At least 10 years of experience across multiple security disciplines, including areas such as security architecture, threat modeling, identity and authentication, software development, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud security, mobile security, or network security. In-depth knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, engineering best practices, and secure system design. Advanced understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud and their security capabilities. Solid understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and industry frameworks including CSA, CIS, NIST, and ISO. Experience with security assessment tools, methodologies, and techniques. Experience integrating security into CI/CD environments and secure delivery workflows, including tools such as GitHub Actions. Working knowledge of application security standards such as OWASP. Experience with threat modeling and risk analysis for applications and their environments. Strong understanding of secure application and system design. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, such as Java, .NET, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with microservices architecture and modern cloud-based application environments. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Cybersecurity Expert, or equivalent are highly desirable. Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, clients, and business stakeholders.
