Design migration and consolidation strategies: Develop practical approaches for migrating from existing email service providers (ESPs), including phased transitions, sending-volume allocation, journey and template migration, engagement-data synchronization, and decisions about which incumbent capabilities should remain in place. Advise on deliverability and messaging infrastructure: Guide customers on shared versus dedicated IP addresses, IP and domain warming, sending-volume strategies, seed testing, inbox placement, sender reputation, bounce and complaint management, feedback loops, and engagement diagnostics. Influence product development: Serve as a key feedback channel between customers and product and engineering teams, identifying recurring challenges and translating insights from active sales opportunities into prioritized product improvements. Develop the technical sales playbook: Build reusable demo environments, discovery frameworks, migration guides, deliverability runbooks, request-for-proposal (RFP) response libraries, competitive positioning materials, and sales enablement resources. Enable broader sales teams: Train and support sales and solutions engineering colleagues as the product expands, helping them communicate its value and contribute to opportunities involving customer data platforms and AI-driven marketing solutions. Support go-to-market execution: Collaborate across teams to refine sales processes, strengthen competitive differentiation, and establish repeatable approaches for positioning and selling an emerging product category. Requirements: Relevant pre-sales experience: At least three years of experience in solutions engineering, solutions consulting, technical pre-sales, or a related role involving email service providers, cross-channel marketing platforms, customer engagement platforms, or marketing automation solutions. Experience as a practitioner, implementer, or technical consultant is relevant. Marketing performance metrics: Be comfortable discussing open rates (OR), click-through rates (CTR), click-to-open rates (CTOR), bounce rates, unsubscribe rates, conversion rates (CVR), return on investment (ROI), and incrementality. Understand how campaign strategy, creative decisions, and experimentation influence these outcomes. Technical solution design: Be able to translate complex customer requirements into practical architectures, communicate technical trade-offs, and guide stakeholders through product validation and implementation planning. Communication and stakeholder management: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage marketers, marketing operations professionals, data engineers, and compliance stakeholders in the same conversation. Entrepreneurial mindset: Thrive in an early-stage product environment where processes are evolving, priorities can change quickly, and you are expected to build solutions and playbooks from the ground up. Ownership and adaptability: Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating across multiple teams. Nice to have: Genuine interest in artificial intelligence and agentic workflows, particularly their applications in marketing automation and campaign execution. Familiarity with modern data ecosystems, including customer data platforms (CDPs), cloud data warehouses, SQL, data modelling, integrations, and APIs. Experience with value-based sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or comparable frameworks. Experience launching a new product, establishing a new product category, or contributing to a high-growth B2B SaaS business during a period of rapid expansion. Experience developing technical enablement resources, repeatable sales processes, or implementation frameworks for emerging products.
