Job Description: Senior Networking Systems Engineer Job Description Summary Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Networking Systems Engineer to provide pre-sales technical leadership and consultative support for customers across Western Pennsylvania. This role partners closely with Territory Managers to drive business growth by aligning HPE Aruba Networking solutions with customer objectives and technical requirements. The Senior Networking Systems Engineer serves as a trusted advisor to customers, helping evaluate, design, and position secure networking solutions across campus, branch, wireless, switching, network management, and security environments. Working directly with IT leaders, architects, and operational teams, this individual will demonstrate how HPE Networking solutions address business challenges and deliver measurable outcomes. This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside within the assigned territory and be willing to travel to customer sites throughout Western Pennsylvania as needed. Responsibilities Provide technical pre-sales support throughout the sales cycle, from discovery and qualification through solution design and deal closure. Partner with Territory Managers to identify opportunities, develop account strategies, and advance customer engagements. Deliver compelling customer presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities. Design and recommend networking solutions that address customer business and technical requirements. Act as a subject matter expert for campus, branch, wireless, switching, network security, and network management technologies. Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, including technical teams, IT leadership, and executive decision makers. Collaborate with product specialists, architects, channel partners, and cross-functional teams to develop innovative customer solutions. Maintain technical expertise on HPE Aruba Networking technologies, competitive solutions, and market trends. Develop and support a healthy opportunity pipeline while helping drive revenue growth within the territory. Provide mentoring and technical guidance to peers and contribute to team knowledge sharing initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Typically 8+ years of experience in networking, systems engineering, consulting, or technical pre-sales roles. Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including: Wired and wireless networking Campus and branch architectures Routing and switching Network security concepts Network management and monitoring solutions Experience presenting complex technical solutions to diverse audiences, including technical and executive stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to translate technical capabilities into business value. Strong consultative selling, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and priorities in a dynamic environment. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Higher Education, State and Local Government, or Public Sector customers. Experience with HPE Aruba Networking solutions. Relevant industry certifications such as Aruba, Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking certifications. Experience with cloud-managed networking, network security, and zero trust architectures. Familiarity with AI-driven operations, automation, and modern network management platforms.
