AECOM Transportation is actively seeking a Transportation Drainage Engineer for employment due to a robust and growing backlog. This individual will be responsible for performing engineering analysis for drainage design associated with Transportation projects.  As an AECOM Transportation Drainage Engineer, you can look forward to: Working on diverse transportation projects including various assignments for the Department of Transportation and local municipalities throughout Florida and other states.  Work with a hands-on and supportive manager, who will work with you to develop a 5 year career development plan incorporating your desires and input. Work with a high-profile large team in a collegial work environment, who support multiple large projects in multiple states.  The team comprises of all levels of staff and includes senior support for technical growth and project management. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Developing strong working relationships with clients and staff plus maintain a high level of project standards and meeting or ideally exceeding client expectations Perform drainage design and production for Transportation projects including calculations and plans preparation.  Calculations include hydraulics and hydrology using appropriate methodologies for transportation facilities.  Production includes preparation of construction plans using standards for appropriate Department of Transportation.  Working knowledge of underlying Federal Highway Administration hydraulic circulars is preferred. Applicants must be able to clearly identify, communicate, and work in a cohesive team atmosphere to solve systematic problems and forecast potential issues with evolving design of other disciplines. Applicant can identify and apply applicable policies, methods, practices, and procedures of drainage design.  Assists in the design of open and closed collection and conveyance systems for Transportation projects. Assists in design of stormwater management facilities to meet water quality and quantity requirements. Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering degree or related discipline and 4 years of experience as a Drainage Engineer or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications : Professional Engineer (PE) Experience in design of drainage conveyance systems and plans prepared in compliance with state DOT standards Experience in pond design including grading, plan sheet development, hydrology, hydraulics, and control structure design Experience in the following software: Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads, StormCad or other equivalent CAD software, HY-8, ICPR, HEC-RAS and MS Office  Good at communication and teamwork Relocation is not available for this position.
