WHO YOU ARE: The Travel Accountant II performs routine (journey-level) accounting work following standard procedures for the TWC Travel Department. Employees may also occasionally assist other staff in performing job duties of greater complexity. Works under moderate supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: - Manage the departmental inbox by identifying and processing travel vouchers for digital archiving. - Convert documentation into standardized PDF formats and maintain a systematically organized filing system. - Review and audit travel and related documents for accuracy and compliance with rules and regulations. - Classify, code, and post travel and related documents to financial systems. - Maintain, post, and balance accounting and financial statements, records, documents, or reports. - Research and assist in resolving discrepancies with vendor and employee travel and related transactions. - Perform other duties as assigned. YOU QUALIFY WITH: -One year and six months of full-time experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. -A license to practice as a certified public accountant in Texas will satisfy the minimum qualifications. -Experience and education may be substituted for one another. YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH: - Experience with Adobe Professional editing and combining PDF documents. - Proficiency with Microsoft business software including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Access. - Experience in accounting, auditing, reconciliations, business, or financial operations.
